About

My name is Diego Gomez, I’m a chemical engineering PhD student at Tulane University currently in my 4th year. My graduate research is on the thermodynamics of ion solutions usingĀ quasi-chemical theory and investigating the shapes and forces of capillary bridges. Outside of my research I enjoy learning and solving problems related to statistical mechanics, stochastic processes, machine learning and large scale computing.

In my free time I cook, golf and enjoy the outdoors.
